Grayhawk Scottsdale residents looking for a fun alternative to a “night on the town” can check out the Desert Botanical Garden for an evening tour in the desert. Located less than a half-hour from Grayhawk, the garden offers evening flashlight tours every Thursday and Saturday starting at 7p.m. until the 31st of August.
While the desert is a natural beauty by day, it truly comes alive at night. Visitors will enjoy Arizona’s famous sunsets while in the serene landscape of the gardens. The garden is home to diverse plant and animal life including an abundance of beautiful and rare cacti plants.
Animal lovers will get to see the Desert Botanical Garden’s tortoises, nighthawks and night-blooming plants. For those who like creepy crawlers – there is an excellent insect exhibit.
Whether you’re the adventurous type or are looking for a romantic evening stroll – the flashlight tours at the Desert Botanical Garden offer Grayhawk residents an interesting, scenic and affordable evening out. Best of all, with a flat path and well-manicured gardens, the tour is designed for people of all abilities
The walking tour is included in the price of admission. Please remember to bring your own flashlight and wear comfortable shoes.
