Milwaukee Brewers Playing at Grayhawk for Charity Golf Tournament

Player registration for the Bob Uecker Front Row Classic will be starting in just a couple hours at Grayhawk Golf Club. This charity golf tournament will be benefitting Make-a-Wish Arizona, our local chapter of the non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children with life-threatening conditions. The tournament will be held on the award-winning Talon golf course and will feature a few big-name guests.

Many of the players, staff, and coaches for the Milwaukee Brewers will be taking the day off of Spring Training to join Grayhawk golfers at the tourney. Golf and baseball enthusiasts alike look forward to seeing the team on the course, enjoying the laidback atmosphere of one of Scottsdale’s finest golf clubs. Don’t miss this chance to play alongside the Milwaukee Brewers and to benefit a great cause.

The Bob Uecher Front Row Classic will begin with a 1 p.m. shotgun start, but not before participants can enjoy a noon BBQ lunch on the driving range. During the tournament, players can access the on-course comfort station and open bar. There will be a silent auction after play, and at 6 p.m., an awards ceremony will be held with appetizers and cocktails. Players will also receive a luxury gift bag. Grayhawk’s Fearless Painting Classes Starting in February

Grayhawk will be holding its Fearless Painting Classes in the coming month with instructor Lisa Fitzgibbons. Join your friends and neighbors in a fun and fascinating series that will teach you various techniques in texture and mixed media. The focus this month is on landscape, and you will learn the tricks to creating beautiful skies, mountains, trees and water.

Both beginners and seasoned painters are encouraged to participate in this exciting class. There’s no need to be intimidated if you’re just getting started. Step-by-step instructions will be given to help you achieve you painting potential, and you’ll get plenty of personal attention along the way.

If you want to know the secret to a gorgeous landscape, you’ll want to be a part of the Fearless Painting Classes at Grayhawk. Classes are held on Mondays, February 3-24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It costs only $220 for the entire series, including supplies.

Golf Channel Selects Grayhawk to Host Am Tour Championships

The 2014 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships are to be held at Grayhawk Golf Club and Talking Stick Resort, according to a recent announcement. This is the first time that the final tournament of the Golf Channel Am Tour, the world’s largest amateur golf event, will be held in Scottsdale.

grayhawk golf clubDuring the Golf Channel Am Tour Championships, golfers of all ages compete against hundreds of their peers in four rounds of golf, each played on a different course. The courses featured in this year’s Am Tour Championship event are Grayhawk’s Talon and Raptor and Talking Stick’s North and South golf courses.

The tournament will be broken up into two categories. The traditional National Championship will be held September 8-12 for participants below 50 years of age. The Senior National Championship will follow from September 14-18 and include players 50 years of age and up. Each Championship begins with a Welcome Dinner and ends with an Awards Ceremony to celebrate the winners. Golfers competing in the Golf Channel Am Tour Championships will also be able to retire to the world class luxury of the Talking Stick Resort after each day of play.
