The 2014 Golf Channel Am Tour National Championships are to be held at Grayhawk Golf Club and Talking Stick Resort, according to a recent announcement. This is the first time that the final tournament of the Golf Channel Am Tour, the world’s largest amateur golf event, will be held in Scottsdale.
During the Golf Channel Am Tour Championships, golfers of all ages compete against hundreds of their peers in four rounds of golf, each played on a different course. The courses featured in this year’s Am Tour Championship event are Grayhawk’s Talon and Raptor and Talking Stick’s North and South golf courses.
The tournament will be broken up into two categories. The traditional National Championship will be held September 8-12 for participants below 50 years of age. The Senior National Championship will follow from September 14-18 and include players 50 years of age and up. Each Championship begins with a Welcome Dinner and ends with an Awards Ceremony to celebrate the winners. Golfers competing in the Golf Channel Am Tour Championships will also be able to retire to the world class luxury of the Talking Stick Resort after each day of play.
