Grayhawk Golf Club is Part of The Scottsdale Open Amateur Tournament

The Grayhawk Golf Club will be one of the three top ranked golf clubs in Scottsdale to host the Waste Management Scottsdale Open in January 2012. This is the ultimate tournament that tests the skills of some of the best amateur golfers in Scottsdale. This tournament will be held January 13th, 14th and 15th. Each round will be played on a different course as outlined below:Grayhawk Golf Condos

  • Round One: January 13, 2012 at the Troon North Golf Club on the Monument Course
  • Round Two: January 14, 2012 at the Grayhawk Golf Club on the Raptor Course
  • Round Three: January 15, 2012 at the Tournament Players Club on the Stadium Course

This is just two weeks before the pros come to town for the Phoenix Open and is a great way to compare your amateur golfing skills just before seeing what they can do.

Grayhawk Golf Club Is Bringing Back Summer Camp Golf Lessons

The Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale will once again host a summer camp for junior golfers. These clinics are open to all children, ages 8-16, even if you do not live in the Grayhawk community. This is the perfect opportunity to keep your child or grandchild busy this summer.

The golf instructors will teach the children a full swing, short game and putting. They will also learn about etiquette on the course and the rules of golf. These clinics will include an interactive classroom setting as well as actual on-course instruction.

Each child must dress appropriately. They must wear a collared shirt, either shorts or pants will be fine but jeans and cutoffs are not allowed. It is also important that they each have their own set of clubs.

The clinics will be held on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s, and Thursday’s from 8 AM to 11 AM on the following dates:

  • June 8th through the 10th
  • June 15th through the 17th
  • June 22nd through the 24th
  • June 29 through July 1st
  • July 6th through the 8th
  • July 13th through the 15th
  • July 20th through the 22nd
  • July 27th through the 29th
  • August 3rd through the 5th

Each camp that your child attends will be $150 + tax and they will receive a gift pack at the end of the 3rd day for each camp that they complete. Contact Chad at (480) 502-2656 to register your child before all of the slots are filled.

Grayhawk Golf Club Spring Tune Up

Jeff Yurkiewicz, the Head Instructor at Grayhawk Golf Club, is having a special on spring golf lessons. From now until March 31st it is only $80 for a one hour lesson. These sessions are normally $125 each. If you bring a friend along it is only $125 for a two person, one hour, lesson. This is normally $200. To schedule call (480) 363-6681.

As part of The Phoenix Open festivities the Grayhawk Golf Club will be hosting the Scottsdale Celebrity Am Golf Tournament. It will be held on the Raptor course at Grayhawk Golf Club on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  The event will start at 10:00 AM.  Come out and watch some of your favorite celebrities or participate in the event.

Grayhawk Golf Club Sponsors the Phoenix Open 2010

The Phoenix Open Tour is almost here! This year it is called the Waste Management Phoenix Open (last year it was the FBR Open). It will be held at the Tournament Players Club (TPC) from February 22 through February 24, 2010. Grayhawk Golf Club is taking part by sponsoring the Members Club at the TPC. The members club offers great on-course seating, perfect for watching the “Greatest Show on Grass” as the tournament is known. Seating is available at holes 9, 12, 17, and 18. Tickets are $1800 for the 4 members club areas throughout the TPC golf course.

Purchasing seating in the club areas will get you:

  • 4 members club badges for each of the 7 days of the tournament
  • 4 General admission tickets for all 7 days
